We love topping our yogurt with granola for a delicious snack. Even your kids will love this in the mornings or as an after-school snack. It's filled with healthy ingredients, such as flax, coconut, hemp hearts, and whichever nuts you so desire. :) If you've been searching for the best granola recipe, look no further... here it is!
Ingredients:
3 cups organic oats
1/2 cup ground flax
1/2 cup coconut
1/2 cup hemp hearts
1 tsp cinnamon
pinch of salt
handful each of whatever nuts you have on hand (e.g. almonds, walnuts, slivered almonds, pecans)
1/2 cup grapeseed oil
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup water
Instructions:
Mix dry ingredients together well.
Mix the oil, maple syrup and water together. Add to bowl and mix.
Place on parchment paper on cookie sheets, on middle rack in oven for 30 minutes at 350 F. Toss every 10 minutes or until brown.
Let cool, then enjoy with our yummy yogurts + seasonal fruit!
To serve, you can layer the yogurt and granola in a mason jar (as pictured) to take with you on the go... or enjoy at home. :)
